Friends,
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
As many of you know, we enjoy riding our Harleys and as we have for the past dozen years, we are about to embark on our summer ride for about two weeks.
This year, wehave decided to add a new twist to our vacation. Over the past year we have become very active working with the people and guests of Ronald McDonald house Charities of Chicagoland and NW Indiana (RMHC-CNI). The charities’ Houses provide families with the comfort and support of a roof over their heads and food in their stomachs all in close proximity to the hospital where their severely ill child is staying. With the move and enlargement of Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, the need for a new and more convenient Ronald McDonald House was apparent. RMHC-CNI and local leadership started a project within the last few years to build the world’s largest Ronald McDonald House near the new hospital at Grand and St. Clair.
The construction is underway and over 67% of the needed funds have been raised. We will be visiting Ronald McDonald houses in over nine cities along our route of over 4500 miles and stopping by to bring some breakfast, deserts or sweets and just offer our support to the guests and families that we will encounter at those homes. Our route includes stops in Indianapolis, Cincinatti,Knoxville, Roanoke, Charleston, Savannah, Macon, Atlanta, Chattanooga, Nashville, and Louisville.
We are asking for your help by contributing to RMHC-CNI. Through this FirstGiving page, you can support our “RIDE for RONALD HOUSE CHICAGO." We will also provide details of our ride and post updates along the way.
We feel so fortunate to have a healthy family and a lot of friends and business acquaintances like you. Please help us to help Ronald get his new house a little closer to completion.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
