On September 12, 2010, I will be running the Chicago Half Marathon. If you know me at all, you know that I've never been a runner. However, I thought that it was time to do something I'd never do, like run a race... and why not help the homeless pups of CCR while doing so? I'm incredibly passionate about dog rescue, and I hope that you will help me reach my goal! All proceeds will go to the Chicago Canine Rescue, where I've worked for the past two years!

CCR rescues the unwanted dogs who find themselves tossed into the shelter system-- dogs who have special needs and require extra care, dogs who were abused and neglected, dogs who are sick, too young, or too old.  Many of our dogs need a lot of medical care due to illnesses and disability, and you can help us keep them healthy and loved while they're waiting for their forever homes!

My goal is to raise at least $350, and I hope you can help make that happen! While the dogs won't be able to flat-out tell you how much they appreciate it, believe me... they do. :)
