My story.... I have been living with RSD or Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) since 2007. My first incident was a result of a hysterectomy which left me in and out of the hospital for almost 4 months and NO diagnosis. My pain diminished with Lyrica. My second bout with RSD began in September 2011. I was in so much pain and there was no definitive diagnosis until I was blessed to go to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. in January 2012.
My goal...to be able to WALK in Central Park wearing an RSD tshirt and be beyond grateful that I am no longer in a wheelchair. My goal...to be able to meet other RSD patients and tell them that I am raising awareness and money and walking for them too. My goal...to walk with my husband and hold his hand and know in my heart that I am walking again because of his devotion and committment to see me live a life without pain.
Many of you reading this have already been so incredibly generous helping me raise money for my son with Tourette Syndrome. It is difficult for me to ask again, but I feel compelled to ask because I understand the pain of other patients and I KNOW that awareness is the beginning to finding a treatment.
Thank you if you are able to make a donation. I appreciate all of you for reading this. I thank my family and friends for helping me through my difficult times. I would not be able to consider this walk without your constant support and love. With love and gratitude to all.
