Sister Alvera began a home in her native Democratic Republic of the Congo for children, currently numbering 50, who are the products of rape.  These children have been rejected by their families and turned out on the streets.  Sister Alvera welcomes these children and, where possible, works to reintegrate the children into their families.  While the children are with her, she provides schooling, health care, shelter, food and other necessities.  However, these services are costly and her current funds are unstable.  Therefore, you and I, with our financial support, can help secure the positive impact Sister Alvera is making in the lives of Congolese children.
