PetWalk 2011
Animals bring so much to our lives. I am an animal lover and advocate, and serve as a volunteer and board member of the Hawaiian Humane Society. All of my dogs are rescues.
In February 2011, I stood by the Humane Society as their team took more than 150 dogs in their care from a Waimanalo breeder. Many were pregnant and before long, there were nearly 80 puppies to care for. In a victory ruling this month, the courts have awarded these animals to the Humane Society so that these dogs could begin a new life of hope with families to love them. This rescue cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in providing the care that these terribly neglected dogs needed. This is in addition to the animals that come in daily to the shelter. The Humane Society really needs your help.
Please make a gift no matter how big or small to help the Humane Society continue its lifesaving work to rescue and protect animals. More than 30 programs including a pet food bank, youth education, adoptions, spay and neuter, advocacy and outreach programs help people and animals. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.
Hope you will step out with me for PetWalk on Oct. 2 at Magic Island.
Please share this story with all who love animals and want to make a local difference to help Hawaii's animals. Thank you in advance for your consideration to help me with this very worthwhile cause.
With much aloha and mahalo,
Ginny
p.s. I'll match any gift you make as I so believe in this effort!
