I grew up in a safe and happy environment. I did not realize that other people were not as fortunate at me and my siblings until I became an adult. Every child deserves to have a happy and safe home. My niece has dedicated this outing to my mom. My mom was a very generous person not only with her family but with everyone who touched her life. This will be my first Mother's Day with out my mom and I can't think of a better way to celebrate her life and her generous spirit than to walk for a cause dedicated to children.
