This year Ruth and I are riding together.  As you may remember last year I rode with son-in-law Kevin, and his wife Lois, Ruthie's mom, Jean, and Ruthie helped man the rest/food stops along the way.  Unfortunately they can't join us this year because of work demands.  So Ruth and I will do our best to hold up the family tradition for this our 2nd year of participation.  Last year I rode 20 miles the first day; the second day was not a day for alphas (cold and downpour) and then 20 miles the last day crossing the finish line in P-town at a walk....big hill to the finish line.  This year I certainly hope to do as well and if we have 3 good weather days I expect to pass 50 miles total.  Ruth will have no trouble keeping up with me I'm sure.

Thank you so very much for your support last year.  I think I reported our total team"results" (we are riding with the American Lung Association; this is one of their major fundraisers too) in holiday greetings at the end of the year to all of our supporters...29 riders....30 volunteers...$36,000 raised for Alpha-1 Research.  That's terrific.  Love to do it again!   Any amount, no matter how small is greatly appreciated.
