Back for another try....Ruthie and I are looking forward to our 2nd Miami 5K walk.  Last year was very successful and I'm sure this year will be equally so. 

This year has not been kind to some very "prominent" alphas who were also our good friends (Vicki Joseph, Bill Reese Dennis Pollock, Marta Strock, to mention just four).  They are the ones I call "doers" because they were always doing something, taking care of fellow alphas, participating in events and helping to move us toward our ultimate goal....A CURE FOR ALPHA-1!  I realize that we all must die from something but this is one condition which we should not have to suffer with for many years (a slow erosion of ones capabilities to perform everyday duties and functions) and then, in the end, still lose the battle.  Ruth and I made a big financial commitment this year to move us toward the final goal faster.  I believe more than ever that it is attainable and the conquering of alpha-1 will lead to research gains for other lung conditions.  We would love to have you help us.  Any amount is greatly appreciated.  And even better join us for a day of fun, exercise and socializing.
