As many of you know my son Spencer has Down Syndrome.  Spencer has been a blessing to our family by teaching us patience, perserverance, and that everybody does the best they can with what God has given us.  Spencer and kids like him like the same things as you and I do.  They want to have friends, participate, be involved, and be treated just like everybody else.  Special Olympics changes lives by benefiting more than 9,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities across our Commonwealth and impacts communities in many powerful ways. Your donation to Special Olympics Virginia through this event is vital in making transformation possible and changing views about people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Virginia uses sports as a catalyst to change society’s perceptions and treatment of people with intellectual disabilities. This is an incredible cause, and I hope that you will come down and watch me take part in this great event.
