As most of you know, I like to try and participate in "oddball" athletic events. (Maybe from being tossed on my head too many times during my rodeo days.) I have now found an event that should satisfy my "need" to challenge myself physically, as well as help out a wonderful cause dedicated to helping promote athletics and camaraderie in a section of our society that is widely overlooked when it comes to organized athletics. The Polar Plunge 2009 will be on Feb. 14th at Mirror Lake on the University of St. Francis campus - pledges will benefit Special Olympics Indiana.
