My friend Hawken has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a progressive disease that causes his muscles to deteriorate and is fatal, most Duchenne boys do not live beyond their teens.

On June 19 my friends and I will be hiking Crystal Cove State Park to raise funds and awareness for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. I am asking for your help in reaching my goal to raise 8,000 dollars to quickly fund research projects that can save him.  

So far there are 25 teams across the U.S. that have taken up the "Pick Your Peak" challenge and will raise money for research by climbing a mountain, hiking a trail, or climbing a tall building...all on June 19.  Perhaps through our efforts, Hawken and the millions of DMD boys still to be born will be given “A Chance for a Lifetime.”

 All funds raised will go to research, no amount is too small.
