Greg Wellman's 10K Swim for Hope Haven
On Saturday, October 22, I will swim 10 km at the second annual Swim for Them in support of Hope Haven Ministries. 440 pool lengths will get me to 11,000 yards (just over 10 km) in about four hours.
My 2011 swim for Hope Haven is driven by a desire to aid people in need in my community. Hope Haven seeks to help homeless individuals and families by meeting needs both immediate (shelter, food, clothing, crisis counseling) and long-term (programs that stress rehabilitation, restoration and a responsibility). Their approach is based on the example of Christ - showing love to our neighbors.
Will you please consider supporting my swim? Contributions to Hope Haven make a positive impact in someone's life immediately! Donating through FirstGiving is easy, secure, and tax-deductible. I sincerely appreciate your consideration.
