It's impossible to put a price tag on a precious animal's life.
No rescue wants to be in a position where financial resources are the decision maker between life and death. We don't regret our recent rescue decisions in the least, but unfortunately, reality has set in and we have some daunting vet bills to attend to. Our veterinary care givers were able to provide services at a reduced cost, but we still have a large balance haunting us.
A very generous donor has come forward to offer us a Challenge Match to raise desperately needed funds. For every dollar that we raise in September, (up to a total of $5,000) this wonderful person will donate an equal amount!
If we can successfully raise $5,000 in September, we will receive a Matching Gift of an additional $5,000!
We are very excited about this opportunity and we know that we can hit our target with your help. No donation is too small or too large---remember, it will be doubled so that your gift can go twice as far! Please help us by spreading the word about this amazing opportunity!
The deadline for submitting donations is September 30, 2011, so please help us to spread the word far and near.
We look forward to sharing more details regarding some of the individual stories behind some of these vet bills as well as about the other deserving dogs in our care. Your support makes it possible for us to reach out to the dogs that have no one else to depend on. We may be their heroes, but YOU are our heroes!
This is Skylar's story
Skylar was dumped at a local shelter with demodex mange, a treatable condition. When we got the call from the shelter, we couldn't turn her away. She is just a baby, only 4 months old! While her condition is treatable, it is costly. She will be receiving medicated baths to soothe her irritated skin, along with special injections to eliminate the mange.
Skylar desperately needs help to pay for her upcoming treatment and her continued care.
