It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. We have again decided to take this walk to raise money for cancer awareness in memory of my cousin/ friend Doreen Pepin Durling who lost her battle with Ovarian Cancer on 10/04/2004. This will be our fifth annual walk in her honor. Dee will forever be missed and through this walk her name will carry on as part of something much bigger. As we did last year we will also be walking in memory of our other family members. Ronnie Pepin and Maria Caraballo who both lost their battle with Brain Cancer. Barbara Spencer who is in remission from Lung Cancer and Robert Pepin who unfortunately just lost his short battle w/ Brain Cancer on 4/13/2009.
As you can see Cancer has touch our family many times and continues to show its face year after year. We need your help along w/ many others to both raise funds and awareness. Your donation means more to team WALK FOR DEE than you can ever know and will benefit all of those who continue to fight their battles with Cancer. Your gift means a lot to UMASS Walk to Cure Cancer as well as myself, family and friends.
