BaRNI was originally formed to assist special needs and senior basset hounds, which would tax other area basset rescue groups. By networking with all active basset rescue groups, BaRNI would focus on the expansion project at Daphneyland, and gear up for the dream of a senior center.
As the need for additional basset rescue services became critical, BaRNI began and opened its doors on December 21, 2005, now the most active rescue organization in the Southern California area, operating in conjunction with Daphneyland, Inc., the basset rescue & boarding ranch. BaRNI averages 70 hounds in its care daily.
