Update #3 - April 14, 2010 @ 12:26PM from Dawn at Basset Rescue Network:
"Will & Chance are doing great!!Will is working very hard to learn every way he can think of to escape, very smart he is! Chance is a love and much more timid.

Both are eating well - Will has redness on his side that the shelter had given antibiotics for every month for the last 10 months. Most likely an allergy so we are detoxing him.  Obviously the antibiotics were not working for him, could be a food allergy - we'll see.

 

Too soon to know temperament an behavorial (we like to give 30 days before we even attempt it) So far on leash he has been fine with other dogs, he's such a huge guy though that extra caution is being taken."

Update #1 April 6 , 2010 @6PM  FREE AT LAST. Will & Chance are out of Baldwin Park Shelter. More pictures are coming. "Wil & Chance have been FREE'D and are enroute here via our volunteer - I know she'll end up stopping to get them that illegal hamburger to celebrate <g>. "

Time is running out on Will and Chance! Your DONATION will get them out of Baldwin Park Shelter in Southern California (pending death from the same shelter that has kept them alive since May 2009).

We need to raise $3,000 for Basset Rescue Network to take them. Plan is in the work to get them out this Easter week-end. Please HELP.

Will and Chance were abused by their owners.  Animal Control has kept them at Baldwin Park shelter, Los Angeles county,  in Southern California as "Cruelty Case evidence" since May 2009 (Yes, 2009). The case now is settled. Will & Chance will be killed to make room for other unwanted dogs or another animal cruelty case.

There is no justice, no media, no high profile, no high emotional charge for Will and Chance. Death is coming to their door!

An entity will match the last $1,000 (No cash donation for the last $1,000 matching. The last $1,000 will be paid directly to a food distriutior toward one pallet of Healthwise dog food for Will, Chance & other rescue dogs at Basset Rescue Network)
The x entity is one of Basset Rescue Network's regular supporters. This offer is NOT for any other organizations who rescue either or both dogs.
