Racing for Health Justice

What an amazing year this has been! I'm 52! and to celebrate I am again the bike leg  for NoHLA's Racing for Health Justice. My team is Progress not Perfection and we are working hard for donations!

Health care (actually the lack of health care) has orphaned children, caused parents/individuals to loss work or their jobs, and has handicapped healthy adults. More Adults have DIED this year due to no health insurance than in Irene. More children have lost a parent or both parents this year due to no health insurance than in Irene. These numbers are friends and relatives in my small circle because there are no official records. The reason why the single mom of 2 could not find a single doctor to continue her care to cure her cancer. Officially she died of cancer. Officially a dad of 2 and his 8 month pregnant wife died of pneumonia not that he lost his family health insurance 4 months back when he was laid off and the new job did not offer health insurance.

Health care for everyone is so important! Please help me keep Health Care a priority for the families and kids!

My team is Progress not Perfection and we are working hard for donations! FirstGiving.com has made it very quick and simple to support me! Every donation (along with the comments!) are worshiped!

Northwest Health Law Advocates (NoHLA) mission is to achieve a seamless and equitable health care system, in which individuals are assured of basic rights and protections, and continuity of care, regardless of who they are and the type of health insurance they have >>if any<<.

$8.50 matches my 8.5m race. $196.00 is (roughly) a dollar/day I rode to work during the year. $16 is a dollar/pound I lost in fat!

Share this to your friends! Help me help NoHLA!

Please support Health Justice :)

and a most shocking, amazing, unbelievable update from 2010 >>> My team, Tri 4 NoHLA, WON 1st in the all-woman relay  :-O   and no, we were not the only team ;)
