I am running in the 5K to help raise funds to find a cure for carcinoid, a rare and deadly cancer that is often misdiagnosed.  Every cent that is raised goes to the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation, the leading 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to discovering a cure for carcinoid (www.caringforcarcinoid.org )
