Techentin Mission Trip to India
About our mission trip to India
This page was revised on Thursday, November 4.
Lord willing, we will leave for India on Thursday, November 12!
Through the generosity of many, the Lord has provided just over $9,000 toward our fundraising goal. Please pray with us that:
- God will provide the last few hundred dollars we need for our family
- our final orientation meeting on Saturday, November 7 will be productive
- our entire team will have unity and good health
- we will experience and recognize God's favor as we go
We'll be helping Indian nationals plant new churches
Lord willing, we will leave Nashville on Thursday, November 12 for Andhra Pradesh, India, returning home on November 22. The focus of our trip is evangelism and church planting. Working alongside Indian nationals, we will share the gospel with the Banjara Gypsies, a largely unreached people group in southeast India. We’ll begin with the creation story as we share about the One True God, using the EvangeCube. We will also have the opportunity to provide love and encouragement to children living in a nearby orphanage.
There is a Banjara myth that one day, people with fair skin will come to their village to tell them about the One True God. Will you help this prophecy come true by sending us to the harvest fields among the Banjara?
We will go this time. Will you send and pray?
Here's how you can help:
- We still have not raised quite all of the funds we need to go. You can contribute safely and securely here on Firstgiving.
- Join our prayer team, just by telling us you want to receive our prayer emails.
We are so very grateful for the encouragement, prayers and financial support we've received from so many family and friends. We look forward to giving you a good report about what God does among the Banjara people!
With gratitude,
Hank, Debbie and Ali Techentin
"And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" ~ Romans 10:15
