Dear Good People,

For those of you who don't know, I've been challenged to write a 50,000 word novel in one month during the month of November as part of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo for short) .

On November 17th, I'm going to be attending NaNoWriMo's "Night of Writing Dangerously" Write-a-thon. This is like the Olympics for writers. People from all over the country are getting sponsored by family and friends, and flying in for the event, with the goal of writing as many words as they can in six hours.

All the proceeds from the evening go to the nonprofit Young Writers Program and main adult program. Combined, both programs will help 100,000 budding authors to find their voices this November.

I am reaching out to you today to see if you might be willing to support me in my quest for Write-a-thon fundraising victory by becoming one of my sponsors for the Write-a-thon.
