This is my fifth year participating in the Police Unity Tour. As a member of law enforcement for over 15 years and a member of Lakeland PD, I feel compelled to give something to the profession I love.  With the loss of a fellow officer from our agency, several of us rode in honor of him and his family last year.   While I will remember Ofc Crispin and his family this year, I will also ride in honor of another officer that was killed in the line of duty in 2012.  I have visited the National Law Enforcement Memorial several times and have seen many names of officers I knew personally that were fellow brothers killed in the line of duty. This Memorial and the future building of the Museum are a vital part of American History and I want to do my part to solidify that it is a part of history. My fellow brothers killed in the line of duty also deserve the right to be memorialized for the sacrifice they gave.
