This past year has left my heart troubled for all of the animals who have been abandonned and dropped off at the Elkhart County Humane Society shelter.  The shelter has been inundated with pets from people who have lost their homes.  Some of these animals have been pets for several years and then ripped apart from their families.  The economy of Elkhart County has been one of the hardest hit in the nation with many of the companies in the RV industry closing or having major layoffs. 

Additionally, many animals are found alone, cold, and starving every day and the shelter takes them in to care for them until they can be adopted.

I adopted one of these animals over a year and a half ago.  Sasha was one of 2 baby puppies left in a bag in someone's driveway.  Thank God someone took those puppies to the shelter.  Sasha has been such a blessing in my life.  She is my baby.

My heart pours out to all of the animals who do not have a permanent home.  Animals bring such joy to our lives.  My heart also goes out to all of the people who help the animals at the shelter by volunteering, donating, and working full-time for such a noble cause.

This year I decided that all I wanted for Christmas was to be able to help these animals.  The money I budgeted out for my Christmas is being donated to the Elkhart County Humane Society in hopes of making the lives of the animals there a little better

My hope and prayer is that your heart will guide you to make a donation too.  Animals are a miracle, a gift from God.  Please help these little miracles from God.
