I really hate asking people for money, but this is a good cause: the Farm Sanctuary rescues abandoned, abused, or neglected animals from the agricultural industry and gives them a safe place to live out their lives. If, by some strange coincidence, you're not familiar with their work, please take a look at what they do: shelter, rehabilitation, providing what is often the first happy and safe environment for these animals, and advocacy for better conditions for those left behind.
