This year, the AIDS walk has turned into an AIDS walk/ride. Daniel, Norah and I will be taking advantage of this opportunity to break out our bikes and hit the streets!
Consider this: Every 9.5 minutes, someone in the United States is infected with HIV, and almost 9,000 people in Indiana are living with AIDS. With services ranging from support groups to public education to care coordination for HIV/AIDS patients, the AIDS Task Force in Northeast Indiana works to improve the quality of life for men, women, and children with HIV and AIDS, educate the community to decrease the incidence of HIV and AIDS, and increase the public’s understanding of and compassionate response to HIV/AIDS.
The AIDS walk/ride is one of the ways I am committed to loving the people in our community who hurt and need love & support. Please consider being a part of that by making a pledge to our ride, cheering us on, or riding/walking alongside us.
