This is our first year participating in The MIracle Ride. There is a very special reason we decided to do this, her name is Aliza. She is my 6 year old daughter, who was born with Tetrology of Fallot. We did not know when she was born, but within hours of her birth she had her diagnosis. She is the strongest, most courageous person I know. She had her first open heart surgery when she was 7 months old. I spent 11 days at Riley with her as I watched my baby girl recover from an amazing and life changing surgery. She has since had her second open heart surgery in November 2010, she needed a valve replacement due to her heart was working to hard and she was having alot of side effects from that. Since that surgery she is a new child, full of energy, and as always love and knowledge that is far beyond any 6 year old. Everyday I look at her and am so thankful for Riley and letting me keep my little girl, she is my HERO. She brightens many peoples lives on a daily basis, and if you are one that knows her, you know exactly what I am saying. So this is our way to give a little back to Riley for what they have given us!!
