I am determined to take the Omaha Polar Plunge this Saturday to help raise money for Special Olympics Nebraska! I need your help to reach my goal.

The Special Olympics is a non-profit organization that needs to raise over 1 million dollars annually to help those that have intellectual disabilities. The funds raised will go towards training these "special" athletes to compete in many of the 9 events planned throughout the state of Nebraska. To get an idea of the costs associated with these events Special Olympics spends over $25,000.00 a year to purchase medals to honor these much deserving athletes.

So, I am sending this message out to everyone to ask for your support. If you're able to make a donation....great - every little bit counts and is very much appreciated!!  Or just come out and support all of us plungers for this great cause. You're not just supporting the Special Olympics, but humanity. Together, we can make change for all people in this world!!!  I'm jumping in honor of my son who lives with some special abilities and amazes me each day with his smile, courage and charm.
