"Music, once admitted to the soul, becomes a sort of spirit, and never dies." -Edward George Bulwer-Lytton
Helen Sevag was a lifelong musician, music educator and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who passed away Sunday July 24th, 2011 in her home outside of Philadelphia. She performed on the violin for 85 years and touched countless lives through her art. Music was constant companion for her throughout her life and she consistently passed this love and passion to those around her. Continuing this mission through Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation, which supports music education for schoolchildren and young adults all over the country, is a truly fitting way to honor her personal and musical legacy.
