Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
In 2008 I was diagnosed with a rare form of eye cancer known as Ocular Melanoma. Ocular melanoma ("OM" for short) is a cancer of the eye diagnosed in approximately 2,000-2,500 adults annually in the United States. In both the U.S. and Europe, this equates to about 5 - 7.5 cases per million people per year and, for people over 50 years old, the incidence rate increases to around 21 per million per year.
Help me CURE OM by donating!
CURE Ocular Melanoma (CURE OM: Community United for Research and Education of Ocular Melanoma) is the Melanoma Research Foundation's initiative to increase awareness, education, treatment and research funding of ocular melanoma.
CURE OM's Mission:
To support research and accelerate the development of effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for ocular melanoma through innovative strategies including international and interdisciplinary collaborations. To improve the lives of people affected by ocular melanoma by creating systems and programs to provide education and support. To advocate for the ocular melanoma community.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
