Jeff and Holly Creasey's Fundraising Page
Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, Jeff and I have been training to run the Seattle half-marathon on June 27. We will run the race with Team World Vision. World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.
The funds we raise will go to support volunteer Caregivers in Africa who look after orphans and families affected by HIV/AIDS. More than 15 million children have already lost one or both parents to AIDS. It is the greatest humanitarian emergency of our time. Children and families are suffering alone and desperately need help.
These caregivers are AMAZING! I have met some of these wonderful volunteers, and without them many people would be alone and go uncared for. Our goal is to raise enough money to support 2 of these Caregivers for a year ($700 will support one Caregiver for a year). Your gift will go towards:
- Comprehensive training and follow-up
- A Caregiver Kit stocked with essential care items including medical supplies, soap, washcloths, a flashlight, and a personal note of encouragement (the kit is replenished, as needed)
- A heavy-duty bicycle designed to help Caregivers reach more patients, plus supplies and repairs as needed
- Malaria prevention training and mosquito bed nets to keep vulnerable families healthy
You can support World Vision's efforts to help children around the world through Team World Vision by making a one-time tax-deductible donation. If you prefer to send a check (made out to World Vision), just e-mail Holly at hollycreasey@gmail.com, and we'll send you our mailing address.
Psalms 41:1 - "Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the Lord delivers him in times of trouble."
Thank you for considering to sponsor us!!! And please pray for us on June 27, as we run 13.1 miles to help children around the world!
