Holly Grande's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, Inc. BARCC is an amazing organization. The counselors and other staff members provide support and help to so many young women (and men!) in the Boston area, myself included. I am proud to support them by walking in the Walk for Change.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
About the "Lotus Elephants": This name actually has two stories behind it. The Lotus is a beautiful flower representing femininity, but it only grows in the muddy, mucky waters of a swamp. The Elephant comes from a story my dad used to tell me when I was in a tough spot. He'd say to me, "Holly, how do you eat an elephant?" The answer, of course, is one bite at a time. But when my dad told this story, he was also saying, "I believe in you, and I love you." That is why we are the Lotus Elephants.
