In 2010 I will be traveling to Sierre Leone with the Global Outreach team from Seven Hills Foundation and Clark University. The mission: To bring basic obstetrical and neonatal care to the women of this impovished area of the world.

The children pictured in the photo were orphaned when their mother died in childbirth and father died two weeks ago.  Their story is all too common in a land where one in eight women die giving birth.
