My name is Holly. I'm 16 years old. I've had over 30 surgeries, 13 spinal taps and too many hospital stays to count. Research is really, really important to me. 

The truth is my life isn't so great right now.  I have constant pain. All the time.  I can't get away from it.  I got a new wheelchair hoping I would be able to get out more now that I have it, but really it doesn't help much.  Just sitting in a chair makes my back hurt terrible and my head gets worse and I automatically feel like I'm going to throw up.  I know that doesn't sound very pretty, but that's what I mean when I say my life isn't so great.    I can't go see my friends, I can't go to school. We keep searching and trying new shunts, new surgeries, taking more scans, putting new monitors in my brain. Every time I am disappointed. 

Please help me reach my goal of raising $40,000 for medical research.  Every donation makes me feel hopeful that we will be that much closer to finding an answer.
