Beginning on August 19th I am running 150 miles over 6 days in Chile for a good cause and I need your help. NO, you don't have to run with me....but
This is a chance for me to support a charity I find has a great purpose.
I will match all donations up to my goal (but don't let me stop you there).

Why am I supporting this organization?
I am very fortunate to have the physical ability, family support and a good job that gets me to the starting line. There are many people in this country that don't get an opportunity to land a good job because they may have a disability and have difficulty finding companies that present opportunities for them.
I work for a company, WellPoint Inc. that takes diversity seriously. I had the opportunity to hear an inspiring presentation from a fellow employee that was placed by a company that focuses on finding the right match between a companies needs and the talents that many disabled people possess. I was amazed at the passion that this person has for their work, and how full of life they are along with being thankful they had the opportuity to prove themselves.
The American Association of People with Disabilities is an organization that supports the training of the disabled and promotes mentoring and educational programs to help employ the disabled. I have seen what this can do to someone's life and this is truly an admirable cause, enabling the disabled.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
