This team was formed to honor and support Carole Ann Noel Barnard, who has lived with Lupus for the past six years. Before facing this disease, she joined the ranks of "Cancer Survivor" -- with the help of her doctors, her family, friends, and a unique collection of yellow gumballs.

It was more than eight years ago, on a particularly "dark" day, that Carole Ann -- while facing the fight of her life -- made a pact with a gumball machine. She thought "If the gumball is a yellow one, I will live."The quarter went in...the gumball came out -- it was yellow, and to this day, the promise has been kept.

Now the yellow gumball machine is helping her deal with Lupus -- another very dibilitating disease. It has been 50 years since any type of treatment for Lupus has been found. Your sponsorship of this event will help to change that.
