There are 25 Bird-a-thon teams, each supporting an individual sanctuary, a group of sanctuaries, or a Mass Audubon program. The teams are vying to see:

• which team can spot the most bird species in one day
• which team can raise the most money for their sanctuary or program (http://www.massaudubon.org/birdathon/about_teams.php, 2009)

YAYAYAYA!!!! Thanks for all of those who helped me reached my goal of $300!!!! You guys did more than just that, you guys have helped protect and also showed that conservation is a big thing in our communities. Even though the economy is bad, you guys rally together and help the sanctuaries protect the lands we all enjoy!!! THANK YOU EVERY MUCH!!!! Since the goal has been reach so early, I've decided to set a new and higher goal: $400. I appreciate all that have donated and to those who will be donating.
