Welcome to my fundraising page for World Vision. Many of you have contributed before and I am deeply  grateful for your support. It is because of your generosity and care that we can continue to make an impact in this way. I recently ran 35 miles (56km) in the Two Oceans ultramarathon on April 3rd to raise money for them. I managed to score a respectable 4:46, although this did require pushing my body to the limit.

As many of you know, World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.

Aside from emergency aid, World Vision is not about giving a handout but rather empowering communities to take control of their destinies in the long term. It is only through such long-term partnerships operated under the name of Christ can real poverty be challenged and reduced.
