It is a joy to race to raise money for World Vision. As you may know, they work to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.

World Vision focuses on long-term solutions, not simple handouts, and do so in Jesus' name. They are an awesome part of His body on earth. Team World Vision focuses on projects in Africa, particularly those related to the provision of clean drinking water.

You can support my efforts through Team World Vision by making a one-time tax-deductible donation. The best way to donate would be to sponsor a child on an ongoing basis; this is where the long-term impact is the greatest.

We raised $4,000 for the Boston marathon in April. I am aiming for less this time. Can you support this goal? I honestly thought of these families as I ran and had to dig deep - they suffer every day for want of something so simple and basic. Let's change that together!
