Team World Vision - Camp Pendleton Triathlon
Thanks for visiting this Team World Vision fundraising page. I'd really appreciate your support in something I feel very strongly about. I am honored to be able to combine a sport in which I have a passion with the opportunity to raise money for a vital cause (one that God has called us clearly to support).
You've seen the stats, but here are some to hit home: there are currently more than 15 million children who have been orphaned by AIDS, 2 million children who have been exploited through child sex trafficking, and more than 30,000 children who have been forced to become child soldiers. These are truly the most vulnerable children in the world. They often do not have clean water to drink, enough food to eat, access to proper medical care or education, and they grow up in an environment of fear and neglect.
And so, while I count calories in a race, over 850 million people will go to bed tonight hungry. I would love to share our blessings with some of them and support World Vision's excellent work.
The folks at World Vision have made it exceptionally easy: I will be participating in a race in August at Camp Pendleton and would love to raise money to enable World Vision to support at least four children for an entire year. You simply have to follow the SPONSOR ME link on this page to donate. You can donate anonymously or in your name -it's simple.
There is also the option to become a permanent sponsor of a child. This is an excellent way to ensure regular income for these children and provide stability in World Vision's management. I have found that this just becomes a regular deduction that I don't notice, yet the impact it makes on their lives is profound. Try it!
Thank you very much. World Vision and I really appreciate your support.
