Thank you for visiting my Diabetes Research fundraising page.  On June 6th I shall be taking part in a 1000 miles in 24 hrs motorcycle rally.   I hope you will be willing to sponsor me on this unusual event and support research efforts through the American Diabetes Association.  As many of you know, I have Type 1 Diabetes and while I'm in good control, I know many who struggle with the daily management and more research is needed into this chronic condition.

Riding a motorcycle for 24 hrs will require careful control of food and insulin, but I'm confident I can manage this and along the way raise funds to support diabetes research.  Before you wonder, yes, I'll be riding with two other friends who will be making sure I don't miss any food or an injection.  I will be paying all my own expenses (petrol and energy bars!) so everything donated will go to diabetes research.
 

In your mind (but not in mine!) this might be considered a crazy and foollhardy way of spending 24 hrs.  However, I hope my efforts along with your support will raise some additional funds to support diabetes research.  Every little bit helps!  Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also a very efficient way to support this fundraising effort and works globally!
