I'm participating in the Run of Hope in memory of my daughter, Marissa, who died from a brain tumor. Since that time, I have been involved in raising money for the Olson Neuro-Oncology Research Lab, which is affiliated with Seattle Children's Hospital and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. I am confident that with the right funding, Dr. Olson and his brilliant team will discover better ways to treat cancer. All proceeds from this event will benefit Dr. Olson's lab.

In this economy, there is an unending need for funds, but I know that every penny donated will go directly to Dr. Olson's research (not overhead expenses) and will be used wisely.
