I am involved in this effort for several reasons.  

1. Our students from the MGH IHP have been volunteering for BLC for 15 years as part of the HIV/AIDS course.  They have learned about the importance of NGOs in the lives of their patients.

2.  I have conducted research at the BLC as part of an international network with the hope that the results will benefit the participants in the long run.  BLC and its' members have always been hospitable to the development of  the science of HIV/AIDS.

3. Lastly, I am involved because I believe in the importance of the role of NGOs in HIV care and have seen first hand the important role that the Boston Living Center plays in the lives of its' members and all of us in Boston.

Now that you've heard while I'm involved in this effort, I want you to know that donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
