What brought me to Citizen Schools:

There is a need for innovative methods to get students excited about learning! Our educational system currently is not meeting the needs of all children. I decided to apply to Citizen Schools in order to learn how to best serve students in the public education system. I feel student today need more then what is conventionally offered. I believe Citizen Schools vision and method can really make a dramatic difference in lives of youth today and structurally change the public education system for the better. I am happy to be a new member of the team in New Bedford’s Citizen Schools program.
