Daniel was a brilliant painter, a talented and sensible man who found much joy in art. In his memory, we would ask that you consider donations to The Awakenings Project, an organization that assist persons with psychiatric disorders in developing their creative abilities through art in all its forms. The Awakenings Project is grateful to be his family's choice as an organization who will accept gifts in his memory.  We are so appreciative of the enormous generosity of Daniel's family and friends.  We set a lofty goal, and it was already exceeded, so we raised it, but once again, you have exceeded it.  We have raised it once again, and believe it or not, another time, because your generosity is incredible.  We have named a scholarship in honor and in memory of Daniel Segura, with the support of his family.  We gave out the first scholarships in July, 2011, one to Peter Austin, and one to Mike Rudis. Thank you all so much.
