Friends,
I am asking you to help children by sponsoring my mustache.
You may find this a strange request, so let me explain.
Starting on November 10, I will be growing a mustache as part of the Washington, DC Mustaches for Kids fundraiser. During this decade-old tradition, participants (“Growers” like me) raise money by growing mustaches for a month. The Growers ask friends, family, co-workers, and people in the community to sponsor their mustache and give to the Children’s National Medical Center.
At the end of the Growing Season, Mustaches for Kids, D.C. hosts a ’Stache Bash where the facial hair is evaluated by an independent panel of judges, and one Mustache is declared to be the “Sweetest.” I won this honor last year, and my sweet ’stache raised over $1,000 for the children’s hospital. I am hoping to double that this year.
So I hope that you can all support my mustache and join me in donating to the Children’s National Medical Center.
To donate, just click the "Donate" button and it will walk you through everything.
Or, you can always write a check to "Children's National Medical Center," and send it to me at 55 Skyhill Rd. #203, Alexandria, VA 22314.
Both of these methods will also ensure that you receive a receipt for your donation to use when preparing your tax return.
Or, if you pass me on the street, recognize my mustache, and feel like giving right on the spot, I will even accept cash donations.
But any way you slice it, you are helping the children, and I thank you for it.
