Ivy's Pet Project
WOOF!!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 32nd annual Virginia Beach SPCA Walk for the Animals.
I am walking the Walk in memory of Rembrandt, a Dogue de Bordeaux (French Mastiff) who was an owner surrender at the VBSPCA this past summer. His owners told the staff that they were moving but the truth was Rembrandt had multiple, treatable health issues, that the owners refused to treat. By the time Rembrandt reached the shelter, he literally had no legs to stand on. The VBSPCA staff worked diligently to find Rembrandt the specialized vet care he so desperately needed. But, months in a shelter take a toll on the animals and Rembrandt was humanely euthanized on September 9th, surrounded by the loving staff who tried so valiantly to help him.
By special arrangement with the VBSPCA, all donations made to Ivy's Pet Project will go to the VBSPCA's CARE Medical Fund (Companion Animal Rehabilitation & Emergency Medical Fund), to provide specialized medical treatment for animals that would have once been considered untreatable by many shelters. Please be as generous as you can!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. But, you can still help if the computer thing scares you. Just mail a check made payable to the VBSPCA to my humans, Joe and Pam Monahan, 2669 Majesty Lane, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. But, do it NOW..... the walk is October 24th and the Pony Express is slow!
Thank you so very much for lending a paw to homeless animals. And remember: saving one animal won't change the world, but surely the world will change for that one animal.
