The River Music Experience is a non-profit organization with music at its core. Music education and live musical performance are what we do. They are why we are here and walking through our doors, you might by surprised to find how many different way you can PICK RME to experience the music. The RME provides opportunities to listen to diverse live music, learn music through our unique educational programming, and play music on our multiple stages. The purpose of the RME is to provide opportunities to learn about and experience music; opportunities that the Quad Cities community would not otherwise be able to participate in without the organization’s existence. Since the RME’s inception, myriad unique music-education programs have been introduced to thousands of children and youth who have, in turn, performed their own music on RME stages and grown exponentially as musicians and individuals. In conjunction with these educational programs, dozens of top-tier national acts have performed in the Quad Cities, many of whom had not previously visited the community. There is no other outlet in the region that consistently provides the quality and volume of musical opportunities that the RME offers.
