What Would Jacob Do...
Hi my name is Jacob Seilheimer and I am fat.
In fact, when I started this journey a few months ago I weighed over 438 lbs.
But one day that all changed. I got sick of children pointing and laughing at me. I got sick of worrying if my heart was going to stop in my sleep and I'd never wake up again.
So I took a stand and made some MAJOR changes to my life.
That's why I'm running the Boston Marathon for charity on April 16th, 2007.
I figured if I was going to turn my life around, I'd try to help as many others as possible in the process. I realize that most of you won't be able to line the route on Marathon Monday, however the Special Olympics would greatly appreciate your support.
Unless you directly know somebody with a mental handicap, it's almost impossible to understand the frustration that these people experience on a daily basis. To be able to comprehend everything that you're saying but not be able to communicate it...
But once you see the absolute joy radiating from a smile, you know there's nothing like it in this world.
We encourage you to forward this page to anybody who you think might be willing to support our cause. Donating through this site is simple, safe, secure, and tax deductible. And it is the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.
If you would like to discuss The Special Olympics or our fundraising efforts, please contact me at jacob@whatwouldjacobdo.com
We hope you'll join our cause. We live in the greatest country in the world and there's no excuse not to put a smile on somebody's face. Every dollar amount helps and will make a difference.
Words cannot express my feelings towards the support and generosity pouring in from all over the world!
Love and thanks!
Jacob
