Walk for Autism-VA:  5K Walk/Run, 10K Ruck March -- Saturday, October 23, 2010  Join us in raising money for this great local charity!  Each year our family participates in this event which supports local families who have children with autism.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a developmental delay that impairs the brain's ability to learn & process information, and develop basic life skills. The everyday world of an autistic child can be a scary and confusing place.  Autism has reached epidemic proportions, and according to the CDC now affects 1 out of every 110 children.  There are therapies that can help reach these children – bring them out of their world and into ours. Walk for Autism-VA helps families provide these therapies for their children.
