Thank you for visiting our Firstgiving page for Walk for Autism-Virginia!  Walk for Autism-VA provides mini-grants to families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder.  These mini grants help fund therapies and treatments for children with Autism.  As parents of 3 autistic children we know personally the impact Autism can have on a family.

Autism is a life long brain developmental disorder which is characterized by impaired social interactions, communication, and restricted and repetitive behaviors.  Early therapies and treatments can make a positive difference in these children's lives and set them on the road to independence.

Join us on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Prince William County Fairgrounds for the 5th Annual Walk for Autism-VA.  Join us for the walk, the fun family events or for our first official timed 5K run!  More information about these events can be found at their website:  www.walkforautismva.org 

In addition to our participation with Walk for Autism-VA on Oct. 10 , we are running the Marine Corp Marathon (Oct 25), to raise funds for Walk for Autism-VA.
