Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
Our team of six teenagers (16 and 17 year olds) is raising money for the Little Baby Face Foundation.
This summer, we will be circumnavigating Mont Blanc (Western Europe's highest peak -15,771') by foot, a challenging excursion that will take us through France, Switzerland, and Italy. We will be hiking for 10 days, approximately 100 miles, and climbing and descending between 1000 and 4000 feet every day. (We will have climbed more than 30,000 feet in elevation by the end of the trip, an altitude higher than Mt Everest). We will be sleeping in tents or in mountain refuges along the way.
We hope that you will sponsor our efforts (for example, by donating a few pennies for the elevation gains (and losses!) that we make each day). All donations will go to the Little Baby Face Foundation (LBFF).
LBFF is a charity that provides pro-bono treatment, including reconstructive surgery, to children who were born with facial deformities but unable to afford treatment.
It's an organization that is close to our hearts: in fact, one of the members of our team was born with microtia, a severe malformation of the ear, and no internal hearing mechanism in that ear. He underwent reconstructive surgery, performed by Dr. Thomas Romo III, who later founded LBFF.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also a very efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
